EDMONTON — Chef Cory Rakowski, along with Stuart Whyte and Dan Letourneau have come together to form Food for Thoughts — a mental-health group for those who work in the restaurant industry.
“Food for Thoughts is dedicated to providing opportunities for hospitality professionals to come together and break down the stigma surrounding mental-health issues,” reads a post on the Edmonton-based organization’s Facebook page.
The group’s inaugural meeting is set to take place Nov. 22 at the Victoria Golf Course in Edmonton. The event will feature a panel of chefs, restaurateurs and mental-health professionals, including Darren Cheverie of Chartier in Beaumont, Alta.; Edmonton city Councillor Scott McKeen; and chef Doreen Prei.
