VANCOUVER — Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria has once again teamed up with Mealshare to bring back its Campania Tomato Sauce campaign — now in its fourth year. Until Dec. 31, Famoso will sell its authentic Campania Tomato Sauce at its 28 restaurants across Canada, providing one meal for every jar of Campania sauce purchased through the Mealshare program.

“We’re thrilled to announce the return of our Campania Tomato Sauce in partnership with Mealshare to provide meals for youth in need,” says Justin Lussier, chief executive officer and co-founder of Famoso. “Mealshare is an important partner for Famoso and our holiday campaign is only one example of our continued relationship. Over the years, we’ve been able to make a difference in the lives of so many in need, thanks to our partnership with their team and the generosity of our guests.”

Last year, the campaign provided 16,761 meals to in-need youth across Western Canada and Ontario. Since the Campania sauce sales began in 2013, nearly 16,000 jars of sauce have been purchased to support 17 communities in which Famoso operates.

“Each year the Campania sauce campaign exceeds our expectations and we’re excited to partner with Famoso again to provide meals to hungry youth in local Canadian communities,” says Andrew Hall, co-founder of Mealshare. “At a time of the year when giving back is at the forefront of people’s minds, we are grateful for the support that Famoso has shown us through this campaign and we look forward to another successful year of giving back in the communities in which we operate.”
