TORONTO — Alimento, a new food emporium, opened in Toronto’s trendy King West neighbourhood last week.
The emporium features a selection of specialty food, including meat, cheese, olives and bakery products, while the in-store restaurant serves up Italian dishes such as salads, antipasta platters, pastas and pizzas sourced from seasonal food sold at the store, according to Toronto Life.
Alimentos comes courtesy of four brothers — Marco, Joe, Albert Jr. and Anthony Contardi. The space was previously an EQ3 warehouse but has since been renovated to include modern elements, including exposed brick, a long marble mozzarella bar and modern orange chairs.
