BOIS-DES-FILION, Que. — Quebec-based chain, Benny&Co., is opening three new locations in Eastern Ontario as early as 2018 to meet the growing demand from customers in the Ottawa area.
The fast-casual chain, known for its spit-roasted chicken, first launched in Quebec in 1960, has experienced remarkable growth over the past seven years. The network has grown from 12 to 45 branches and will have more than 60 restaurants in Quebec by 2019. In the coming months, new branches will be opening in the cities of Prévost, Mercier, Lachute, St-Canut, Laval, Bécancour and Sherbrooke, just to name a few.
To date, all Benny&Co. restaurants are operated by members of the Benny family, who were originally poultry farmers in the Lanaudière region. This family of Quebec entrepreneurs now boasts three generations of master roasters.
