TORONTO — Toronto Pearson International Airport is now offering the authentic taste of Ontario, thanks to a new partnership with SSP Canada.

The Canadian division of SSP, the operator of food and beverage brands in travel destinations around the world, has entered into agreement with the Toronto airport, Ontario farms, dairies and artisanal food producers by launching Camden food company in Terminal 1.

The brand, positioned as ‘eating right on the move’, specializes in delivering organic, fairtrade and freshly made sandwiches and salads to rail travellers in Britain. The new Canadian shop is located at Terminal 1 near Gate 131.

“We are pleased that SSP is bringing another great food and beverage offering to Toronto Pearson,” says, Pamela Griffith-Jones, chief marketing and commercial officer at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Toronto Pearson unveiled its new strategy for becoming North America’s leading international gateway in 2011. The airport is committed to improving the guest experience at the airport, which includes providing more shopping and dining choices for visitors.

Les Cappetta, president and CEO of SSP Canada, says, “Camden is the perfect example of how good things [happen] when a community works together in harmony to bring its passion for good, honest food to the table. We’sre proud to be bringing that option to our forward-thinking partners at Toronto Pearson.”
