OAKVILLE, Ont. — More than 30 toques, representing the CCFCC and the junior culinary team Canada from Humber College, will gather in Etobicoke, Ont. early Saturday morning to whip up meals for the homeless in partnership with the Daily Bread Food Bank.

Last September, the chefs managed to prepare 3,200 meals in a little over two hours, providing food for 160 shelters for one week, with partners Maple Leaf Fppds, Kraft, Sysco, Gordon Food Service Canada and Saputo. “It’s about ‘chefs with a mission’ with CCFCC. Our focus is on giving back,” said Ryan Marquis, corporate chef of C.W. Shasky and Associates in Oakville, Ont. and co-chairman, CCFCC Oakville.

The event will begin tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Daily Bread Food Bank, located at 191 New Toronto St.
