TORONTO ― Chase Hospitality Group has announced the spring 2015 opening of its new restaurant and lounge in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood. Kasa Moto, a two-storey eatery offering contemporary Japanese cuisine, will be located at 115 Yorkville Ave.

“We are thrilled to announce Kasa Moto as our fifth restaurant,” said Steven Salm, president of Toronto’s Chase Hospitality Group. “The space is beautiful, and we can’t wait to share our vision with the city as it comes to life.” To develop the concept, Salm and Michael Kimel of Chase Hospitality Group, partnered with Mark Silver and Adam Arviv, two prominent local businessmen.

The restaurant’s interiors, reinvented by Toronto-based II By IV Design, will incorporate Japanese-inspired elements, such as imported tiles, dramatic lighting, a minimalist colour palette and warm natural finishes such as walnut and oak. Features include a rooftop terrace, wood ceilings and lush indoor topiary. The menu will be overseen by chefs Tsuyoshi Yoshinaga and Daisuke Izutsu.

Kasa Moto will extend through the main floor and rooftop terrace of the new space and, the second floor interior will be home to Bar Moto, an exclusive event space and private dining area. The main floor restaurant will seat 150, the rooftop 180 and Bar Moto 60.

Chase Hospitality is also home to Toronto’s The Chase, The Chase Fish & Oyster, Colette Grand Café and Little Fin.
