TORONTO — Cineplex Entertainment has acquired a 50-per-cent stake in YoYo’s Yogurt Café, a London, Ont.-based self-serve frozen-yogurt chain.
“This partnership is an ideal collaboration for our brand,” said Jan King, president, YoYo’s Yogurt café.
“We complement the existing foodservice brands found within the Cineplex portfolio, and their expertise will lend strength to our development, giving YoYo’s a tremendous competitive advantage for both existing and future locations.”
Established in 2010, the chain has stores throughout Ontario and has recently opened new locations at Cineplex Cinemas Queensway and VIP in Toronto and the Pergola Commons development in Guelph, Ont.
