HALIFAX — This year the esteemed Wine Access Canadian Wine Awards (CWA) judging, which will run from Aug. 22 to Aug. 25, is moving east of Ontario to the Delta Halifax in Halifax, N.S.

“This is such a huge accomplishment for our industry,” says Janice Ruddock, managing director of the Winery Association of Nova Scotia. “This is the first year the judging has been done here … it shows a support and appreciation for our Nova Scotia wines on a national level, and we are looking forward to showing off our world-class culinary experiences and wines to esteemed judges from across Canada.”

The national competition honours wine that is 100-per-cent grown, fermented and bottled in Canada. More than 1,000 wines across the country have been entered into the competition.

CWA results will be published in the December/January issue of Wine Access magazine.
