ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Domino’s Pizza is opening its 11,000th store today in Brantford, Ont.

“I am proud of the many people who worked hard to reach this international milestone for Domino’s Pizza,” said Patrick Doyle, president and CEO. “We’re thrilled we have the opportunity to celebrate our 11,000th store here in Canada, where we began expanding to international markets more than 30 years ago.”

Domino’s will host a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the opening. The event will be attended by Doyle; Chris Friel, mayor of Brantford; Mike Schlater, master franchisee; and Jackie Young, franchise owner of the 11,000th store. In honour of the special opening, Domino’s Pizza of Canada will donate $11,000 to the Rotary Club of Brantford.

Domino’s Pizza was founded almost 54 years ago, with its first store in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
