TORONTO — Paul Methot, chair of the Board, Restaurants Canada, announced that Donna Dooher has been appointed president and CEO of Restaurants Canada effective June 1.
“The Board of Directors is very pleased to have Donna at the helm of Restaurants Canada as we continue the search for a permanent CEO,” says Methot. “In just a few short months Donna has proven to be a strong, committed and effective leader. Her deep understanding of, and passion for, the hospitality industry is putting a sharp focus on serving our members and building a vibrant restaurant community across Canada.”
Dooher has more than 30 years of experience in foodservice and has made her mark on Canada’s culinary landscape as a celebrated chef, caterer, TV personality, cookbook author and restaurateur. She has been in the role on an interim basis since November 2014.
