Facebook has quietly launched a new City Guides feature in its app, which enables users to book select hotels and restaurants.
City Guides offers Facebook users a selection of personalized recommendations based on the habits of locals, as well as the user’s friends. While exploring suggested venues and popular attractions, user are now offered a “Book Now” button for hotels and restaurants that already featured this option on their Facebook pages — directing traffic to the establishment’s website or booking service.
