TORONTO — Ottawa’s landmark Hong Kong-waffle shop — Golden Bubbles — is coming to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with a location set to open in Scarborough on April 7.
The chain specializes in made-to-order Hong Kong-style waffles filled with customizable waffle fillings and ice-cream toppings. The location will also feature creations such as the Lava Cheddar Cheese Waffle, Honey Burst Waffle and Taro Mochi Waffle, in addition to a selection of Cheesecake Factory Bakery’s classic cheesecakes.
Golden Bubbles opened in Ottawa’s ByWard Market last summer and, according to the brand’s website, is slated to open a second GTA location in Richmond Hill.
