ST. JOHN’S — The Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister of Small Business and Tourism, and the Honourable Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Minister of Service N.L., have announced the launch of an innovative service tool, available through BizPaL, designed to simplify starting a restaurant in St. John’s.

The Restaurant Bundle Check List will provide new restaurateurs with a simple way to get what they need to start their business. Users will be able view a list of required inspections, permits and licences necessary at different stages of the process, as well as potential wait times and costs. This streamlined service is designed to cut down the time restaurateurs spend searching for essential information and help them meet regulatory requirements for starting their new business.

“This is a significant step forward for restaurateurs who have been looking forward to this for some time. The restaurant-bundling process makes it easy for businesses to get the information they need without having to cut through a lot of red tape, freeing up valuable time for growing a small business,” says Minister Gambin-Walsh. “They can now easily identify which permits and licences they need from all levels of government through one online source.”
