BEIJING, China ― KFC China has filed a lawsuit against three Chinese companies, which have allegedly spread rumours on social media about the quality of the chain’s food, including that its chickens have eight legs.
KFC is seeking damages of 1.5-million yuan ($300,000), an apology and an end to the posts.
KFC operates more than 4,600 restaurants in China.
