TORONTO — Krispy Kreme doughnuts recently became available to Toronto’s downtown crowd.

According to torontolife.com, the American-based quick-service chain shut down its Toronto locations after poor stock-market performance in 2004 but recently opened a store at Bathurst and Harbord.

The new site, named Doughnut Café, is the chain’s fourth location in Canada, with the other three in Mississauga, Ont., Montreal and Quebec City.
