TORONTO — Foodservice operators in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood are preparing for the inaugural Leslieville Summerlust, a neighbourhood festival and customer appreciation night Thursday, June 21, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Revellers will have access to late-night shopping along Queen Street East, live music and entertainment by more than 40 buskers, gourmet eats, discounts and giveaways. Participating restaurants include Leslieville Pumps (left), Eadrey Foods Swirl and Le Matin.
“We’re excited to be throwing a street party to celebrate our neighbourhood,” said Daniel Cohen, director of the Businesses of Leslieville. “We’re opening our doors for the rest of Toronto to come experience the charms of Leslieville.”
The neighbourhood’s popular winter festival, Holiday Wanderlust, provided the inspiration for Summerlust — a customer-appreciation event promoting the artistic community.
Leslieville was named Toronto’s hippest place to dine, drink, shop and live by The New York Times.
