McDonald’s Claims Top Spot on 2016 Top 100 Global Franchises Ranking

ATLANTA — Restaurant franchises dominated the top-five positions on Franchise Direct’s 2016 Top 100 Global Franchises Ranking, with McDonald’s claiming top honours.

Subway ranked second, with KFC, Burger King and Pizza Hut rounding out the top five positions. Canadian-based restaurant franchises Tim Hortons (#42), Pita Pit (#70) and Yogen Früz (#77) also made the list.

Ranking criteria includes commercial factors such as revenue, growth and stability, as well as social and environmental policies.
