OAK BROOK,Ill. — McDonald’s Restaurant is reportedly testing a mobile ordering app, “McD Ordering”, in 22 locations in the Columbus, Georgia area in the U.S.

“We are testing some of these technologies in a few markets, so it’s premature to speculate on the decisions we may make after the tests, but we’re excited to bring a cutting-edge experience in the future to our customers,” said Lisa McComb, media relations director, McDonald’s, was quoted as saying by the Columbus, Georgia-based Ledger-Enquirer.

The app is available for iPhones and Android devices. Customers use the app to create their order, scan the QR code at the mobile ordering station, submit the order and pay. Customers are then given the option to pick up their food inside or at designated parking station where their orders are delivered to their car.
