MONTREAL — MTY Food Group Inc. has announced it will undergo updates to its structural organization to coincide with the stepping down of Stanley Ma and Claude St-Pierre from their respective roles as CEO and COO on November 2, which was announced in May.

The structure of the organization will be adjusted in order to adapt to the growing number of brands the company operates in multiple segments of the restaurant industry. The Canadian operations will now have three distinct COO’s; Marie-Line Beauchamp will lead the Casual-Dining segment, Marc Benzacar will lead the Fast-Casual segment and Jason Brading will lead the Quick-Service segment. The U.S. operations will continue with its current structure, under the leadership of Jeff Smit.

“The new structure will allow an increased focus on operations helping to fuel organic growth of MTY for many years to come, while also enabling us to continue to expand our extensive brand portfolio,” says Eric Lefebvre, who will become the CEO on November 2. “As we embark in this new chapter in MTY’s history, we intend to further emphasize our focus on growth from within, through menu engineering, remodeling of restaurants, adaptation to current marketing and customer experience trends and enhanced new store development.”

MTY has also announced that Renée St-Onge will be promoted to CFO on November 2, replacing Lefebvre in that role.
