WHISTLER, B.C. — Michael Guy is the new executive chef at Nita Lake Lodge, helming the hotel’s Aura Restaurant, Cure Lounge & Patio and Fix Café and Deli.

Guy, who incorporates locally sourced foods into his menus, trained at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver and began his career at Bluewater Café, Raintree Restaurant and West Restaurant.

After spending a year as the chef for the Canadian Ambassador in Rome, Guy returned to B.C. where he worked as the sous chef at Araxi Restaurant, before opening his own catering business, Western Promises Food in Pemberton, B.C.

“I hope to help Nita Lake Lodge become the number-1 boutique hotel in Canada with a reputation for incredible food, made from scratch. The hotel is a beautiful property within a stunning setting. I want to further the reputation of Nita Lake Lodge’s three restaurants as a destination unto themselves,” said Guy.
