BPI Names New Execs

RICHMOND, B.C. — Three senior management appointments have been announced at the Richmond, B.C.-based Boston Pizza International Inc (BPII).

Mark Pacinda has been promoted, and is now the new president and CEO of Boston Pizza International Inc. (BPII), managing general partner of Boston Pizza Royalties Limited Partnership and administrator of Boston Pizza Royalties Income Fund.

“Mark has made significant contributions during his 14 years with Boston Pizza, including establishing our corporate office in Ontario, expanding operations into Quebec and helping to double the number of full-service Boston Pizza restaurants in Canada during that time. As the operating head of BPI over the last few years, Mark has worked closely with the Fund and its trustees,” said George Melville, BPI chairman and owner.

Meanwhile, Ken Otto has been appointed COO of BPII and has assumed additional responsibilities for foodservice and business development. Otto, a 20-year industry veteran, joined BPI in 2004 and most recently served as EVP of Operations.

The final new appointment is Wes Bews who has been appointed CFO of BPI. He joined the company in 2008 and most recently served as VP finance and CFO (interim).

 Boston Pizza serves more than 40-million guests at its 340 restaurants across Canada.
