P.E.I. Burger Love Returns with 54 New Creations

Prince Edward Island Burger Love returns to the island this April for the fourth time. The month-long celebration spotlights 54 creative burgers — made from 100-per-cent Island beef — at various restaurants across the province.

P.E.I. Burger Love was created by Fresh Media, and is presented in partnership with Prince Edward Island Cattle Producers, P.E.I. Flavours and the P.E.I. Department of Agriculture and Forestry. “The Island beef industry makes an important contribution to our economy and to economic activity in our rural communities,” said George Webster, minister of Agriculture and Forestry. “The government’s involvement with Burger Love reflects our commitment to a strong beef industry, a strong agriculture sector and a strong Island community.”

Islanders can take part in the celebration by visiting a participating restaurant and choosing a P.E.I. Burger Love creation. For example, at Redwater Rustic Grille, diners can indulge in Southern Comfort, a brisket chuck burger, topped with mac and cheese and a cheese curd-stuffed pepperoncini wrapped in bacon. At The Loyalist Country Inn, The Dude features mango moonshine barbecue sauce and house-made waffle potato chips.

Once participants devour the creations, they can vote for their favourite at peiburgerlove.ca. The winner will be crowned P.E.I.’s most loved burger.
