VANCOUVER — Scott Morison, founder of the Vancouver-based Browns Restaurant Group, was inducted into the British Columbia Restaurant and Foodservice Association (BCRFA) Hall of Fame’s Active Restaurateur category this week.

“It’s an honour to contribute to making B.C.’s restaurant scene the finest in Canada,” said Morison. “Events like the BCRFA Awards gala really make us appreciate the level of skill and dedication that goes into the restaurant industry year after year, and I’m proud to be a part of that. This award further motivates me to continue taking on new challenges in moving forward in this industry.”

Through Morison’s leadership, Browns Restaurant Group was awarded gold for new/emerging franchises by the Canadian Franchise Association earlier this year.

Held at the Italian Cultural Centre, the BCRFA Awards gala hosted a top-tier group of the restaurant industry’s finest. Other inductees in the BCRFA’s Active Restaurateur category included Daniel Frankel of the Daniel Hospitality Group; Gord Martin of Bin 941 and Go Fish; and Greg Hays and Silvia Macolini of Cafe Brio.
