Restaurant Buzz: Bad Bones Ramen

  1. JOHN’S — Adam Gollop — a 14-year veteran of the St. John’s’ restaurant scene — has partnered with Jasmine Kean to open Bad Bones Ramen.

The small, 12-seat location offers several ramen bowls, such as Vegetable Shoyu with mushroom dashi and rice noodles ($10); Spicy Chicken Miso with Udon Noodle, featuring chicken, sweet corn, sofrito tare, yu choy, carrot, celery, nori, green onions and roasted garlic purée ($11); Salt Cod Shio with mussels, shrimp, squid, cabbage and seafood dumplings, kombu, katsuobushi, nori and green onions ($12); and Pork Belly Tonkotsu with Duck Egg Noodle, featuring caramelized onion, pork broth, cabbage, marinated soft-boiled egg, shero dashi and green onion ($13).

Vegan and gluten-free options are also available.
