Restaurant Buzz: Kozu

A5 Hospitality has given its Rachel St. venue, Rachel Rachel, a makeover, reopening as Asian restaurant Kozu. The restaurant’s kitchen is helmed by chef Olivier Vigneault (Jatoba), who describes the joint as a mini Jatoba. The 70-seat restaurant focuses on Chinese and Japanese-inspired small plates such as siu mai — steamed pork, shrimp and shitake dumplings with spicy sauce ($10); roasted cauliflower with shiso vinaigrette, puffed rice, black sesame and micro watercress ($14); duck-confit rolls with marinated daikon, cucumber, hoisin, green onions and puffed rice ($14); and soft-shell crab bao with cucumber, marinated daikon, green onion, cilantro and bird’s-eye chilli ($19).
