TORONTO — Shanna Munro, who joined Restaurants Canada as chief operating officer last September, is the association’s new president and CEO, effective June 1.
Munro takes over from Donna Dooher, who will resume her position as director of Restaurants Canada. “As someone who has devoted my career to this industry, it has been an honour to lead the Restaurants Canada team,” says Dooher. “I look forward to working with Shanna over the next few weeks, and remaining involved as a member and a director of the association.”
Munro has more than 25 years’ experience in the foodservice industry with companies such as Priszm Brands and Yum! Restaurants. She most recently worked at EZ Corp, Inc. as president of its Cash Converters brand retail and financial services, North America. “Shanna has a proven record as a transformational leader who builds strong and productive relationships,” says Bill Allen, Chair of the Board of Restaurants Canada. “She will be a great asset to our association and the foodservice industry at large as we join together to foster a strong and united industry from coast to coast.”
