Subway Facebook Page Flooded With Porn

MILFORD, CONN. — Anyone perusing Subway’s Facebook page yesterday was in for a surprise, as the sandwich chain’s page was flooded with pornographic anime images.

According to The Daily Dot, a group of pranksters targeted the chain by taking obscene images and photo-shopping Subway sandwiches into them.

Subway’s social media team immediately removed the offending photos, emailing a statement to the online publication The Daily Dot. It reads: “We are aware of the excessive spam on our Facebook wall, and have removed all content that is in direct violation of our house rules. We are in contact with Facebook to investigate the matter further and enact a swift resolution.”

Stricter privacy controls, which allow the user to limit public photo tagging, may have prevented unwanted images from being posted. “This is what happens when a large public entity lets everyone tag them in photos. They should know better,” reads a comment on Reddit, an online forum.
