KELOWNA, B.C. — Summerhill Pyramid Organic Winery in Kelowna, B.C. was awarded first place at the 24th Annual Chardonnay Du Monde Wine Competition in Burgundy, France. Chosen from among 706 entries from 38 countries, the Summerhill Chardonnay Icewine was the only Canadian entry to be in the Top 10.

The Chardonnay du Monde is an international competition recognizing the world’s best Chardonnay wines and is regarded as the most significant and legitimate qualitative competition for the distinction of best Chardonnay of the World.
The top-10 winning entries included wines from Spain, France, South Africa, Germany, Australia and Chile.
