VANCOUVER, B.C. — Thierry Café launched its Fetes des Beignets yesterday, just in time for Mardi Gras. These square-shaped donuts are served fresh and piping hot, dusted with icing sugar and a choice of house-made raspberry jam, chocolate sauce or caramel sauce ($10.75/half dozen).
“Making our beignets brings back so many fond memories for me as a child growing up in France,” says chef Thierry Busset. “I still can recall the fragrance of freshly made beignets wafting through my mother’s kitchen — and taking that first bite dipped in chocolate sauce a few too many times!”
Thierry’s Fetes des Beignets will be offered daily, from 11 a.m. to close, until March 15, 2017.
