VANCOUVER — Vancouver Magazine has released the winners of its 28th Annual Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. The awards recognize excellence and leadership in more than 40 categories in a ceremony held at the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel in downtown Vancouver.
Highlights from this year’s awards include:
Best New Restaurant — Savio Volpe
Restaurant of the Year — Dynasty Seafood
Best New Design — Kissa Tanto
Best Chain — Cactus Club Cafe
Best Upscale — Hawksworth
Best Food Truck — Tacofino
Best Victoria — Agrius
Best Okanagan — Waterfront Wines
Best Whistler — Araxi
Several individuals were also recognized by the awards, including Joël Watanabe of Kissa Tanto, who was named Chef of the Year. Sabrine Dhaliwal of Uva Wine & Cocktail Bar received the title of Bartender of the Year and L’Abattoir’s Lisa Haley was named Sommelier of the Year.
