OTTAWA — Toronto’s Sansotei Ramen has landed in the nation’s capital.
The new ramen shop is the brand’s fourth restaurant, joining two Toronto locations and one in Markham, Ont.
The 36-seat space was created by Toronto designer Joe Cho — the same designer behind the chain’s Toronto locations. The Ottawa restaurant features a neutral colour pallete with stone tiles, bamboo and sailor’s rope accents.
The restaurant offers ramen, sides and desserts. The menu includes seaweed salad ($5), pork gyoza ($4.50); Tonkotsu Ramen with pork bone broth, pork belly, soft boiled egg, black fungus and green onion ($9.60); Spicy Tan Tan Ramen with sesame flavoured broth, pork belly, soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots, ground pork and shredded chilli pepper ($10.50) and green tea cheesecake ($4.50).
