TORONTO — L.A.-based chef Neal Fraser (Top Chef: Masters), is bringing two of his sought-after restaurants to Toronto’s The Drake Hotel to celebrate this year’s Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 8 to 18.

Torontonians will have the chance to taste dishes from Redbird, hailed by the Los Angeles Times as “the most anticipated Los Angeles restaurant of the current decade”, at Drake One Fifty on Sept. 13 when Fraser collaborates with The Drake’s chef de cuisine, Jon Pong, and his team on a modern American menu celebrating seasonal, local ingredients. On Sept. 14, the Drake Hotel will feature dishes from Fraser’s healthy, haute hot dog spot Fritzi Dog — including gourmet, sustainable hot dogs and veggie “hot dogs” (made from a whole sous vide carrot cooked in 26 spices). For the week of Sept. 12, the Drake Devonshire Inn will offer a menu featuring items inspired by both Fritzi Dog and Redbird.

All locations will serve up a special TIFF cocktail menu inspired by classic L.A. hotels, including the brand new Death + Sex — Havana Club 3 year, Chartreuse, Capo Capo, Falernum, pineapple ($15).
