Winterlicious Kicks Off at the Carbon Bar and East Thirty-Six

TORONTO — Toronto’s annual Winterlicious event, which runs January 27 to February 9, will feature the city’s best culinary talent and top dining destinations.

East Thirty-Six and The Carbon Bar have come on board to share limited-time prix-fixe menus. The Carbon Bar on Queen St. E. is offering a limited-time dinner menu ($38) featuring its signature smoked prime-beef brisket, seafood salad with Argentinian red shrimp and squid, pit-smoked Tamworth pork tacos and pit-smoked oat risotto with oyster mushroom and butternut squash. Dessert options include the Dulce De Leche Cream Coupe with caramel corn, Burnt Basque Cheese Cake with preserved wild blueberry or a delicious double chocolate brownie.

East Thirty-Six on Wellington St. E. is offering both lunch ($23) and dinner ($38) options. The three-course lunch menu includes roasted cauliflower soup with hazelnuts and fried capers, mushroom lasagna and confit chicken with gruyere semolina and bacon. For dinner, the menu features chicken-liver parfait, flat iron steak and chilled poached char.

More than 220 restaurants are participating in this year’s Winterlicious event. Guides are sent to all participating restaurants and are available at Toronto City Hall. A complete list of participating restaurant can be seen here.
