VANCOUVER — Famoso Inc. is celebrating 10 years and 30 restaurant locations with a new brand identity. Moving forward, the company’s franchise locations will be known as Famoso Pizzeria + Bar in recognition of the brand’s evolution since launching as Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria in 2007.
Famoso’s new brand identity extends to the four walls of new Famoso franchises, where guests can expect to find a social gathering space that stays true to the vibrant atmosphere commonly found in real Italian pizzerias. The new design includes elements such as updated signage, a state-of-the-art central bar with high-definition TVs, and innovative kitchen facilities to accommodate an expanded food menu, including new pasta options and appetizers.
“While restaurants in North America are already used by many as a social gathering spot, the pizzerias in Italy take the social aspect to another level — where guests are more like family, and are encouraged to really make the restaurant feel like home. Our rebrand aims to make this integral social experience commonplace and a signature differentiator of the Famoso brand,” says Justin Lussier, CEO, Famoso Inc. “Our ability to incorporate this new restaurant concept as we continue to expand is a celebration of how far we’ve come in the past 10 years and a true testament to our continued growth as a whole.”
The brand’s latest location, which opened in Regina in December, marked the first restaurant under the new Famoso Pizzeria + Bar banner. This location is the first of three new Saskatchewan locations set to open in 2016 and 2017.
The new brand is a significant departure from the company’s first location in Edmonton, which originally focused on counter service as opposed to today’s tableside delivery. Since the switch to tableside service at all locations a little more than year ago, Famoso has witnessed a significant shift in its dining experience, prompting the decision to complete the brand’s ongoing evolution with its new identity. Despite the shift in concept, Famoso remains true to authentic Italian tradition and its commitment to use only the freshest ingredients and techniques.
