TORONTO — Pizza Hut Canada, a division of Yum! Brands, Inc. has entered into a development arrangement with Franchise Management Inc. (FMI). Under this agreement, FMI has agreed to purchase 38 existing Pizza Hut restaurants in Quebec and the Greater Ottawa/Kingston region, as well as to add new DelCo (delivery/carry out) model stores in Eastern Canada over the next five years.

FMI is the largest Pizza Hut franchise operator in Canada and currently owns and operates more than 175 Pizza Hut locations in Canada and the U.S. — administered from its support center in Woodstock, N.B.

The agreement represents a major step in Pizza Hut Canada’s plans to relaunch expansion into Quebec. The brand has a proven DelCo model with a smaller footprint at lower build costs and its online-ordering capability, unique food offering and strong double-digit DelCo sales momentum in Quebec has led to the great opportunity between Pizza Hut Canada and FMI.
