MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Arterra Wines Canada Inc. (AWC) has closed a deal to acquire Culmina Family Estate Winery.
Founded by Don and Elaine Triggs in 2007, the Culmina Family Estate Winery — based in the Okanagan Valley — will complement AWC’s selection of Canadian- and international-award-winning VQA wines.
“I have personally worked closely with the Triggs family over the years, so I’m immensely proud to bring the Culmina Family Estate Winery into the Arterra Wines Canada family. They have played such an integral role in building our Canadian wine industry and we’re proud to continue the legacy Culmina has created,” says Jay Wright, president and CEO, AWC.
While Culmina’s founders are retiring, their daughter Sara will join AWC as Sales and Marketing director, responsible for strategy and planning for the brand.
