MONTREAL — Tofino, B.C.’s Wolf in the Fog has been named Best New Restaurant 2014 by Air Canada’s EnRoute magazine.
The top 10 best new restaurants are Wolf in the Fog (Tofino, B.C.), Farmer’s Apprentice (Vancouver), Le Vin Papillon (Montreal), Rge Rd (Edmonton), Mallard Cottage (St.John’s, N.L.), Bar Buca (Toronto), The Chase (Toronto), Ayden Kitchen & Bar (Saskatoon), Légende (Quebec City) and Edna (Halifax). Ayden Kitchen & Bar, the Saskatoon restaurant from Top Chef Canada winner Dale Mackay, received the 2014 People’s Choice Award.
Canadians selected their favourite new restaurant on Eatandvote.com. The contest offered a chance to win a trip for two to the 2014 Canada’s Best New Restaurants gala in Toronto Nov. 20.
