Bacardi Brings Pop-up Restaurant to Toronto

TORONTO — The Bacardi Paladar, an exclusive two-day Cuban pop-up restaurant and rum bar, arrives in Toronto this month to celebrate the launch of Bacardi Gran Reserva Maestro and the newly re-packaged Bacardi Ocho Años rum.

The event features a collaboration between Toronto-based chef Matty Matheson, of Parts & Labour and Miami-based third generation Cuban chef, Eileen Andrade, of Miami restaurant Finka Table & Tap. The duo will be popping up at Cold Tea Bar in Kensington Market October 28 and 29, and transporting guests to old world Havana with Cuban food, live Latin music and dancing.

“Bacardi has a deep appreciation for the culinary arts so it was natural to bring together Matty and Eileen to create a completely unique and authentic experience for consumers,” says Lisa Mazurkewich, brand director for Bacardi Canada. “The Bacardi Paladar embodies the spirit of our brand: Cuban heritage combined with a passion for excellence and creativity.”

The Cuban-inspired family style feast created by Matheson and Andrade will be accompanied by the unveiling of the signature Bacardi cocktail menu — a handcrafted line-up of Bacardi Maestro and Ocho Años cocktails.
