Bacardi Unites Bartenders

HAMILTON, Bermuda — Rum giant Bacardi has created an online playground for bartenders around the world.

The newly launched True Originals community helps bartenders connect with one another to share tips, techniques and recipes. Members are also able to earn virtual badges and work their way up to becoming True Original bartenders. To earn badges, members can recruit colleagues, comment on 20 or more badges, gain 50 or more followers or win the weekly MixMaster Challenge. The site also features tutorials by industry insiders, including Agostino Perrone from London’s The Connaught Bar and Ian McLaren from Bacardi’s Training Team.

“Over the years we’sve seen a real thirst for knowledge from the bartending family all over the world, which is why we’sre launching this True Originals online community,” says Christian Woolfenden, Bacardi Global brand director. “We want to inspire them through engaging content and help them acquire new skills to reach their career goals. Whatever a bartender’s level, from the world’s best bartender to those aspiring to reach the top of their game, he or she can find useful information and inspiration on the site.”
