TORONTO — King Street Food Company has been locked out of its Bar Buca’s location at Yonge and Eglinton.
According to a notice posted in the restaurant’s window, dated October 1, the company owes its landlord more than $22,000 in rent.
Since the pandemic lockdown, the company’s four Buca locations — as well as its other restaurant concepts — have remained closed while it focused on offering pick-up and delivery from the site set to become Cucina Buca on St. Clair Avenue West.
According to BlogTO, King Street Food Company sent a letter to suppliers at the end of July asking “key stakeholders for continued patience during this challenging time.”
