WHISTLER — Toptable Group has appointed a new chef and bar manager for its newest restaurant.
Jorge Muñoz Santos has been named chef and Jason Redmond has been named bar manager of the soon-to-open Bar Oso in Whistler Village. “We are delighted to appoint Jorge Muñoz Santos as chef and Jason Redmond as bar manager at Bar Oso. Both have played a large role in crafting the kitchen and bar menus,” said Neil Henderson, restaurant director.
Muñoz has been with Toptable since 2011 as part of the Araxi team. He previously held positions at Restaurante Chantarela and Hotel Casa Irene in Spain. “I am very much inspired by my Spanish roots,” said Muñoz. “I’m so excited to share this through Bar Oso’s food and atmosphere.”
Redmond previously served as assistant bar manager at Araxi and holds a Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 2 certification.
Bar Oso is slated to open in early November.
