Barry Callebaut appoints Regan to Sales Manager


Barry Callebaut – the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality cocoa and chocolate products – today announced the appointment of Michael Regan as West Coast Sales Manager for its Industrial Food Manufacturing division where he will strengthen the company’s Western sales initiatives for food manufacturing accounts. Regan will replace Robert Glaessner, who was appointed Gourmet Sales Director, Western Region for Barry Callebaut’s Gourmet Business Unit.

He will be a true asset given his extensive experience within the chocolate industry and diverse functional background,” said Mark Freeman, Vice President of Food Manufacturing Regional Accounts, Barry Callebaut, North American region.

Based out of Oregon, Regan brings more than 20 years of experience in the chocolate industry. He joins Barry Callebaut from chocolate manufacturer Debelis, where he served as the Sales Director for North America. In addition to his sales director role, he managed the Belcolade product line and initiated many of the organic and nutritional products that were successfully brought to market during his six-year tenure at Debelis.

Regan started his career at Nestle, Inc where for nine years, he drove new programs and initiatives within the production and quality teams and gained his true foundation and passion for the industry.  His chocolate career continued as Director of R&D and Quality Assurance with Ghirardelli Chocolate and as the Technical Director of Sweetener Products for Danisco/Cultor North America.
