SAN FRANCISCO — Chocolate and cocoa-product manufacturer Barry Callebaut AG has unveiled ‘Cacaofruit Experience’ — an innovative range of products that celebrates the fresh, fruity taste and natural richness of the cacaofruit.
As part of Cacaofruit Experience, the company also debuted WholeFruit chocolate, a fresh, fruity delight made from 100-per-cent pure cacaofruit.
Whereas normally 70 per cent of the fruit is discarded as waste, Cacaofruit Experience unleashes the full power of the cacaofruit as the products make use of the entire fruit — its beans, nutrient-dense peel and pulp and juice. The resulting range can be used in applications such as juices, smoothies, frozen desserts, bakery and pastry products and snacks, as well as chocolate.
The Cacaofruit Experience range is rich in nutrients such as fibers, protein and magnesium.
