TORONTO — Last month Baskin-Robbins celebrated its 100th location in Canada with the opening of its shop at Hamilton, Ont.’s Lime Ridge Mall.

Situated above the food court in Lime Ridge Mall, the new 459-sq.-ft. location is owned and operated by Lori and Frank Malavolta. No strangers to the franchise industry, the couple also currently owns and operates a Kernels Extraordinary Popcorn shop in the same mall.

The counter will also feature the brand’s signature made-in-store customizable cakes, milkshakes, a wide assortment of frozen treats, fresh-baked waffle cones, warm cookie ice-cream sandwiches and the traditional 31 flavours.

“We’re excited to be a part of the Baskin-Robbins family,” says Lori Malavolta. “We’re proud to be operating the brand’s 100th location. The Baskin-Robbins operations team has been a great support to my husband and I and we look forward in starting this new adventure.”

Baskin-Robbins will be holding a grand-opening celebration in the coming months to commemorate this latest achievement.

With more than 18 new store-development agreements recently announced, the brand is on track to continue its growth in the Canadian market.
