CANTON, Mass. — Baskin-Robbins is continuing to cash in on the mini dessert trend with the introduction of Cake Bites.

“We wanted to offer our ice-cream cake enthusiasts a unique dessert that can be enjoyed individually or shared with that special someone,” said Stan Frankenthaler, VP of Innovation and executive chef for Dunkin’ Brands, parent company to Baskin-Robbins.

“Cake Bites provide our on-the-go consumers an affordable elegant holiday dessert that looks exquisite, tastes delicious and requires no preparation time.”

According to the Washington-based National Restaurant Association, bite-sized, mini desserts have been a top trend in the past five years. Baskin-Robbins Cake Bites come in four flavours — double chocolate, praline caramel, chocolate mint and vanilla blondie.

Cake Bites are the latest miniature offering from Baskin-Robbins following the summer release of its Mini Cones and the recent addition of Mini 31 Below frozen beverages and Mini Soft Serve Parfaits.
