VANCOUVER — As Atlantic Canada’s ApEx Foodservice and Hospitality Tradeshow wraps up in Halifax today, the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA) is already preparing for their next show in British Columbia.

The B.C. Foodservice Expo runs next weekend from April 25 to 26 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Billed as the West Coast’s biggest hospitality show, it’s expected to attract more than 5,000 industry professionals.

“The B.C. Foodservice Expo is a unique opportunity to celebrate one of the largest industries in Western Canada,” says Garth Whyte, president and CEO of the CRFA. “It’s a chance to discover new products, ideas and innovations, as well as forge profitable, working relationships. Given today’s tough business environment, this event couldn’st come at a better time for our industry.”

Attendees can expect to see live competitions and demos with the province’s best chefs and a special area for sustainable products. There’s also the chance to collect free expert advice, on everything from increasing profits to going green, from speakers Ron Yudd of Points of Profit, Inc. and Don Fisher of Fisher-Nickel, Inc.
