VANCOUVER — It was a close race, but Jenna Angle, of the Okanagan Chefs Association, has been named the B.C. Junior Chef of the Year and will compete in next month’s national competition at the Canadian Culinary Federation’s 49th National Convention in Halifax, which runs from June 3 to 6.

“All of the competitors, Jenna Angle, Tosh Agassiz, Amir Bahmani and Evelynn Takoff displayed true professionalism and admirable composure as they poured their blood, sweat and tears into the day. Without a doubt, the future of great food was shining brightly,” said Geoffrey Couper of the Okanagan Chefs Association.

Meanwhile, June will also see chefs compete in the B.C. Chefs Association chocolate competition at Eat! The Everything Food and Cooking Festival to be held at B.C. Place stadium between June 1 and 3.
