NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C. — The B.C. Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is accepting applications for its three industry scholarships for 2020.
The scholarships, which are granted to individuals pursuing an education in the hospitality field, include:
BCHF Industry Scholarships — a legacy scholarship to support families in the industry. Up to three Industry Scholarships are available annually for children of hospitality workers whose parents have worked in the industry for more than five years and who are themselves planning a course of study leading to any hospitality diploma or degree.
BCHF Culinary Scholarships — five $1,000 culinary scholarships are awarded in partnership with the Chefs’ Table Society of B.C. The Chefs’ Table Society of B.C. selects the students and the BCHF funds the scholarships.
The Greg King Scholarship at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts — a collaboration between the BCHF and Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, the King family is offering a $1,500 scholarship to students who are passionate about cooking.
The Chef Nik Lim Scholarship — this $2,000 scholarship was created by Nessa Van Bergen and chef Dino Renaerts to honour the memory of chef Nik Lim, who passed away in July 2019 at a young age.
The deadline for applications is March 31, 2020. More information about the scholarships and their application deadlines is available here.
