ETOBICOKE, Ont. — Charcoal Group has opened its newest Beertown Public House location on Islington Road in Etobicoke, Ont., marking the group’s ninth restaurant.

Beertown Etobicoke’s custom-built space is more than 6,000 sq. ft., including the year-round Beergarden. In total, it offers seating for 270 guests and serves up an extensive craft beer, non-alcoholic, cocktail and wine selection. The list includes the newest feature from their Collaboration Nation program where they work with craft brewers to create bespoke brews. Bone Pine India Pale Ale was created by the Beertown team in concert with Sawdust City and Third Moon Brewing Co., and two regular guests known as Beer Geeks.

Additionally, Beertown’s menu, created by Charcoal Group’s corporate executive chef Todd Clarmo, offers plant-based and gluten-friendly selections.

“We’re really excited to open our doors in Etobicoke and expand our presence in the GTA,” says Jody Palubiski, partner, Charcoal Group. “Several members of the Charcoal team have deep roots in the area so there is definitely some special meaning for us here. We loved the location, and we loved the building. We had a lot of fun pushing many Beertown design elements forward.”

Beertown Etobicoke is open daily for lunch and dinner service, with plans to launch its popular Saturday and Sunday brunch menu in the new year.
